A Wonderful Team Here To Serve Local Pastors And Churches!
EXECUTIVE STATE PASTOR
Passionately motivated to see churches thrive, truly reaching people for Christ, Doug wants to see Indiana pastors and congregations “make more and better disciples for Jesus Christ, with an overemphasis on MORE.”
Doug and his beautiful wife, Cindy, have two grown, married sons and four sweet, much-loved grandkids. He’s a big sports fan — especially fond of basketball and baseball. He enjoys a little photography now and then and a trip to the beach whenever he can get there.
*Contrary to popular belief, Doug doesn’t know ALL the answers. So don’t be put off if we defer you to one of our other team members when you call. They may be able to help you more than Doug, even though he’s a great guy.
Jeff brings a unique gift-mix, experience and abilities to the Indiana Ministries staff. His ministry focus centers on the consultation and coaching ministry and other assignments primarily related to empowering congregations to be healthy and effective in making more and better disciples that are transforming their communities for Christ.
Jeff met his wife Carla while they were students at Anderson University. They have two adult children, Joe and Kelley, along with a granddaughter and two grandsons. Jeff is a big time fan of the Steelers and Penguins; check out his office if you have any doubts. He also loves food and fitness, in that order.
If you’ve got questions about your credentials or entering the process to be ordained or licensed ask for Jenene. She assists the Dept. of Ministry Services and Ordination & Licensing committees. She’s super-organized and works hard to make the process of ordination a pleasant one. She has a head full of knowledge about church finances. If you have a question, just ask. She’s also our office manager and supervises any issues regarding the staff.
Jenene has been married to Kerry for over 30 years. They have three daughters, one still in college. She enjoys reading, Sudoku, watching Netflix and spending time with family and friends….especially if its in Florida or at a sunny beach somewhere.
Cindy helps Jenene retain sanity which is a noble cause. You may hear her friendly voice answering the phone when you call the office. She has a lot of great experience in office settings. She also has a heart for pastors’ wives and initiates groups and retreats for them to help provide much needed support and fellowship.
Cindy’s responsible for pretty much everything financial (accts payable/receivable, payroll, etc.) as well as helping host the board, committees and other groups here at our office by serving lunches. She serves as assistant to Carl Addison, director of the FFF:Financial Freedom Fund (Lilly Grant).
Cindy is Doug’s better half, the mother of two grown sons, Steve and Brett, and the proud grandma to three beautiful girls and one handsome boy. She enjoys a golf game once in a while, spending time with her family, laughing, and basically enjoying life. Cindy is hard-working, caring, and young at heart. She typically is in the office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday each week.
Indiana Ministries has contracted with Carl and Earthen Vessels Ministry to direct the Financial Freedom Fund (FFF) and the SHAPE Ministry. The FFF is a grant from the Lilly Foundation to assist qualified pastors in the areas of: pension, health care, student loans and emergency aid. SHAPE is a ministry focused on Sustaining Health and Pastoral Excellence.
Earthen Vessels Ministry (www.evmonline.org) has a passion to come alongside clergy (including their spouses and families) to be their advocates, to offer resources to strengthen their marriages and families, and to walk with them when they hurt. Carl and his wife Valerie are the Directors of Earthen Vessels Ministry. They have three adult children (Matt, Steve & Sarah), five adorable grandsons and one grandaughter!
Mariann is our part time administrative assistant. Having spent her working career as a teacher, she devoted the last seven years to partnering with her husband as he transitioned into a senior pastor role. Now she’s back to work, using her gift of hospitality and her passion for people to serve the mission of Indiana Ministries. Here you will recognize Mariann’s sweet as a peach Georgia accent on the phone and receive a warm dose of southern hospitality as you enter our office.
When she is not at work, you will find Mariann enjoying life with her husband of 37+ years, Paul. They love Jesus and are committed to convincing everyone they meet that Jesus loves them too – no matter what! Mariann is also devoted to God’s work of reconciliation and leads a “Be the Bridge” group in Anderson, where women of diverse cultures are learning to love and live together.
