November 17-19, 2023 in Noblesville, Indiana!

The Indiana State Youth Convention is an annual gathering of students and leaders from across the state who come together for a weekend of worship, community, fun, and much more.  In 2022, we rebranded the event as "Discover Convention" because its purpose is to create opportunities for students to DISCOVER Christ, their calling, and community

A new year has begun, and the leadership team for Discover ISYC is excited about plans for our November convention!  The big news is that we are moving to the Embassy Suites in Noblesville, Indiana - a great venue that has lots of restaurants and shopping nearby.  Mark your calendar for November 17-19 and join us!

Discover ISYC Team of Directors:

  • Tami Byrd (Family Ministries Pastor @ NSPIRE Church)
  • Damon Barnum (Youth and Associate Pastor @ Faith Community Church)
  • Alexis Gentry (Intergenerational Pastor @ Crossroads Community Church)
  • Tyler Williams (Former Student Ministries Pastor @ BridgeWater Church)

*A waiver must be completed for every participant under the age of 18 and submitted BEFORE arrival at the event. ** Please note: as of 2023, all waivers are online and paper waivers will not be accepted!

Special Guests

In 2014, the mission changed. Instead of performing for youth groups and weekend retreats, Attaboy shifted their focus to using music to strategically share the Gospel in America's public schools. Armed with an energetic live show fueled by over 2,000 performances, the band discovered that their outreach-driven pop anthems were resonating with young adults in the church as well. Now, Attaboy is strategically bringing the two worlds together, continuing to minister to unchurched students in public schools while simultaneously encouragingyoung believers. The formula is simple; it's the music they want, and the message they need.

Gretchen Dedina serves as the Student Pastor at Willow Creek Church, in South Barrington, IL. Unofficially her title is the director of confetti cannons! She loves making it personal for students so they can experience the life-changing love of Jesus. She is passionate about helping students pursue their God-given purpose now and leveraging their influence to help change their world. She is known for her sugar cookie skills and her energetic personality. You'll find her right in the mix of all the fun never wanting to be too far from students and leaders or a good themed party. Gretchen and her husband, Bradley, love to travel, enjoy a good campfire and are foster parents.

Kody Hope is a believer in the next generation. Kody served for many years as a youth pastor and is now serving as a hospice chaplain. As a middle and high school student Kody attended ISYC and is excited to be back! Kody is married to Rachael and they are blessed with their daughter, Nora. Kody loves board games, dad jokes and Coca-Cola.
